(hmm ... Copeland Network Ministers (CNM)---another 'Evangelism Team'? it's an idea 💡)
Brother Kenneth wrote an article (linked through 'those words' below, though it might be better if you access it 'in the website-format' rather than the below-linked PDF); but first I want to understand those words better. And I find you understand words better if you look at 'the words at their base' (then going on to look at the words at those words' bases, then the words at those words' bases, etc.-etc. ad infinitum)
The word “Ministry” carries the scent of “Less, |Subordinate (Small) + Comparatively, Relatively” (Inferior, Servant, Priest's Assistant).
Brother Kenneth mentions 'the gifts of ministry' (which I'll discuss below),
but then stresses that 'That Fivefold Ministry' is NOTHING without 'the
joints' (a common translation of the word Paul used to describe 'all the
congregants in the church')
The word "Ligaments (haphé (ἁφῆς), also translated Fastening, Band, Joint)" is built on ancient words that mean "to |Tie" (Bind ... probably the source of the -lig- in "Religion," telling me that 'that word's pure meaning' is something like 'Fastening the community Together Again').
- Apostles (apostolous (ἀποστόλους), #StrongsG652; also translated Messenger, one who is Sent on a Mission)
- Prophets (prophētas (προφήτας), #StrongsG1396 also translated "Forth-Teller or Interpreter of the Will of God")
- Evangelists (euangelistas (εὐαγγελιστάς), literally 'Proclaimers- or Bringers of the Good News'; #StrongsG2099, also translated "|Bearer of Good Tidings)
- Pastors (poimenas (ποιμένας), literally 'Shepherds (Feeders, Rulers & Protectors of |Flocks of Humans)'; #StrongsG4166)
- Teachers (didaskalous (διδασκάλους); #StrongsG1320, also translated Instructor, Master)
