In a video about 'how the soul isn't immortal,' Lex is inspired to proclaim that 'Lord Jesus Christ alone is the immortal one!' (or something ... that may not be "exactly what he said"; hear it 'in context' below)
You can see that I agree with most of Lex's "Unlearn the Lies"-videos. But ... How could Lord Jesus Christ be a worthy sacrifice for 'humanity' if He were not 'mortal' like us?
Lord Jesus Christ even 'tells us' (or Gospel-writers say He said, and I paraphrase) that He only imitated the behavior of Our Father, not that He actually 'held the power of God' or 'was the incarnate power of God.'
The 'sacred rites' were those performed by priests to atone for their congregations' ungodliness, rites that required the loss of a selection from the congregants' livestock.
As wealth became less 'farm-products in your storage-barn' and more 'records of your ownership of those products,' sacrifice became less 'loss of livestock' and more 'loss of money'—and the wealthy–who had more 'money they could comfortably lose without suffering much hunger-or-lack'–were upheld (by the bought-off church) as "closer to God" ... an injustice Lord Jesus infamously pronounced when He called the church "a brood of vipers."
That verdict comes to mind when I remember that His 'announcement from The Cross' was not "It Is Finished" so much as it was
