#HappyBirthday to Y'all (in the #October16 #BirthdayCohort with @WendyWilson & @JohnMayer & ... You?) on #Food Day | @HolidaysCalendr @BirthdayMates #TheFamousPeople @YourTango @MySundayMass

... or -on 'whichever of these holidays, awareness-dates &or event-anniversaries you celebrate!'

Holidays Calendar explains World Food Day in a report linked through 'that word' below; but first I want to understand that word better. And I find you understand words better if you look at 'the words at their base' (then going on to look at the words at those words' bases, then the words at those words' bases, etc.-etc. ad infinitum)

The word |Food| (\ #Feed #Food #Foods #Foodie #GoodFood #BadFood #SoulFood #Foodaholic #Foodstuff #Seafood #Feed #Fed #Feeding #Feeder #Feeds) is built on ancient words that mean "to Protect" (companion; company; fodder; forage; foray; foster; fur; furrier; Pantry; Pastor; pasture; pester; repast).

I sometimes get a little 'thrill' from realizing that I have the same birthday as several famous people, and enough other people get that thrill from seeing their birthday-cohort (both the currently-famous & the probably-not-yet famous) that I figure it's worth doing 'one of these entries for every birthday' ...

Today's Birthday-Cohort

Astrologically, their sign is Libra ... no matter WHICH stars they were born under: Suzanne Somers, John Mayer, Oscar Wilde, Angela Lansbury, Tim Robbins, Flea (from Red Hot Chili Peppers?), Wendy Wilson (from Wilson Phillips?), Supreme Court Associate Justice William O. Douglas, lexicographer Noah Webster ...

but those are just the ones that I agree are famous;
You can add
 your- or your friends'- or famous people (whom YOU
recognize)
 in the comments!

My Heart of the Nation calendar says that we (Catholics) are celebrating Saint Hedwig and Saint Mary Margaret Alacoque and Blessed Virgin Mary, with the clergy wearing White Vestments for the Optional Memorials (Green Vestments otherwise)
