@MsWatchMojo helps us All Praise #HerMajestyQueenElizabethII @OnADalyBasis for the #PlatinumJubilee of her Reign | @ZankYou_US #AllHailTheQueen #Platinum
ZankYou explains 'how the materials match with the "anniversary years" (ZankYou is "a wedding-site," so they're talking about "wedding anniversaries"; I hope the anniversary-materials translate to "royal jubilees" etc.)' in a report linked through 'the hyperlinks' below; but first I want to teach you about those words. And I find you understand words better if you see 'the words at their base' (then going on to look at the words at those words' bases, then the words at those words' bases, etc.-etc. ad infinitum into their Foundation)
The word “Platinum (the name for the 70th anniversary ... #Platiniferous)” is built on ancient words that mean "|Sheet of Metal" (Plate ... the Spanish thought it was 'an Inferior form of |Silver'; the Grayish-White Color a.k.a. #PlatinumBlonde; the One-, then Three-, then 25-Million selling recording is a #PlatinumAlbum).
Queen Elizabeth II & co. at the Diamond Jubilee |
The other anniversaries (which ZankYou describes in more detail at the page linked above):
- First: Paper
- Second: Cotton
- Third: Leather
- Fourth: Linen
- Fifth: Wood
- Sixth: Iron
- Seventh: Wool
- Eighth: Bronze
- Ninth: Clay
- Tenth: Aluminum
- That's "the first stage of marriage" (or '-of whatever's life we're celebrating the life-of,' I imagine); then comes "The second stage":
- Eleventh: Steel
- Twelfth: Silk
- Thirteenth: Lace
- Fourteenth: Ivory
- Fifteenth: Crystal
- Sixteenth: Ivy
- Seventeenth: Wallflower
- Eighteenth: Quartz
- Nineteenth: Honeysuckle
- Twentieth: China
- Then the materials start to get rarer (like the celebrations themselves).

- 22nd: Copper
- 23rd: Silver plate
- 24th: Opal
- 25th: Silver
- Thirtieth: Pearl

- 75th: Diamond-and-Gold
- Eightieth: Oak
- 85th: Moonstone
