@okGazette @Issuu @OPUBCO_HR #Ink & #Paper: Endangered? Soon to be 'Extinct' or 'Lost in the Sands of Time'?

I still try to pick up an Oklahoma Gazette from the many businesses that help keep Oklahomans up-to-date on today's news, politics, entertainment, business & dining; but I'm afraid that Oklahoman (& interstate & international) readers might start turning to The Digital Archive rather than 'the inked & copied & stapled & bound & delivered tomes to be read (and maybe marked-on) & torn & trashed'—as I turn only when I can't find the latest issue on paper!

Then I read how Oklahoma's main newspaper is facing "diminishing returns and logistical nightmares after its purchase by GateHouse Media." The article goes on to describe how the newspapers publishing-company—OPUBCO–is falling far-short in its content-production & publication duties ... due in-large-part to its shortages in employment (unable to pay a large number of employees and/or unable to ATTRACT a large number of employees due to the more-modern industries who pay the same employees much-much more for the same- or smaller amount of-work).

There's a lot to that industry–a lot of work & material that goes into producing the media that has now been 'replaced' by 'programs into which we enter our text and let it be encoded & distributed on wireless Internet to devices that receive and decode the content for all the equipped readers' (I'm sure many Christians won't have any trouble equating that with 'The Mark of the Beast')–but it's all built on a few words ... words that firm the foundation upon which the our lexicon stands ...

The word “Paper” is built on “|Stalks of |Papyrus.”
The word “Ink” is built on ancient words that mean “|In + to |Burn (|Caustic).”

You know something about that word-history that
I don't mention (and that probably isn't mentioned
below)? 'Fill us in on it'- or just tell me what you
think (or ask me about something in this- or another-
word that confuses you) with a comment below,
