Guard Your Mind from the #Deceit of These #Evanjtebanks (#NameByName) with #BibleStudy #WordByWord (like @ShepherdsChapel's #ChapterByChapter & #VerseByVerse)

'That word' (below-hyperlinked to the Facebook-group that presented the banner below the bookmark-bar) is built on an even-deeper source ... something crucial that firms the foundation upon which our lexicon stands ...

The word |Deceit| ( #Deceive #Deceits #Deceiver #Deceitful #Deceived #Deceiving #Deceives) is built on ancient words that mean "to Take- or |Grasp From" (a False, Misleading |Appearance; |Illusion).
The Bible uses the Hebrew שֶׁקֶר (sheqer) "a Disappointment; the Greek   ἑτεροδιδασκαλέω (heterodidaskaleó) "to Teach Other Doctrines,"
ψευδοδιδάσκαλος (pseudodidaskalos) "False Teacher,"   ψευδοπροφήτης (pseudoprophétés) "False Prophets (those who teach something False and ascribe it to God)";
the Hebrew לִבָּם֙ (lib·bām) "of |Their Own Imaginations (-Mind, -Will, -Heart)"; the Greek πλανᾷ (plana) "Misleading," αἱρετικός (hairetikos) " |Factious, causing Division, |Sectarian, Heretical"; ἀνθίστανται (anthistanta) "to |Oppose the truth."

I'm sure that none of the above `Vangelists are consciously aware of the deceit they're spreading ... reminds me of a couple things I've heard about The Deceiver—I've heard that he tries to convince you that he doesn't exist, because if he doesn't exist then God is evil; and I've heard that he proudly announces he's at war with God, hoping to take God's place as the High Father whom we all worship ...

Point is: as much as all these `Vangelists may be 'widely known' as liars & hypocrites, they are not themselves aware that they're doing anything wrong. They're convinced (in-summary) that they are "the heirs" of The Heavenly Father whom we all worship, so NATURALLY they believe they "own" all the wealth they've used their faith & wisdom to attain:

Benny Hinn, Beth Moore, Joel Osteen, Todd Bentley, Paula White, Lou Engle, Joseph Prince, Steven Furtick, Kenneth Copeland, T.D. Jakes, Rick Warren, Patricia King, Joyce Meyer, Rod Parsley, Jesse Duplantis, Fred Price, Bill Johnson, Andrew Wommack, John Hagee, Mike Bickle ... all innocent (like civilians in an 'enemy' country);

just trying to be 'Evangelists,' but (since it requires that they live lives that are far more luxurious than we imagine 'God's Humble Ministers' usually have) they're often dismissed as 'Mountebanks'—

giving us the portmanteau 'Evanjtebank' (I was gonna throw a couple 'insult names' ('Vagrants or Vagabonds') to make it more like when Lord Jesus' "Sower" drops seed on 'four types of ground' to give us a whole field that is credited for the hundredfold harvest that comes from only one of those four sections).

Thinking of this, I'm moved to look up 'false teach' at BibleHub—which brought up:

I do- and will continue to-'follow' many of these ministers, but I think that is now- (if it's not 'how it's always been) in the "watch & see where they go"-sense, and not in the "obey their command (following orders)"-sense.
