The word |Edwardian| describes Fashion from the Time of the Reign of King #Edward Ⅶ (1901 - 1910 ... of course adding -ian, and the style (in men's clothing) is also referred-to as |Teddy-Boy).
The name |Edward| is built of ancient words that mean "Guardian of Wealth, -Prosperity" (see |Edith, |Ward).

The word |Blouse| comes from a word for "a Workman's or |Peasant's |Smock," a word which might come from ancient words that mean "Short (Wool)" or from |Pelusium (a city in Upper |Egypt which was a Clothing Manufacturing Center).
