Trying to Figure Out what makes @TheDemocrats think They "Rule" the Country, I can only Find #Kwo- | @MSNBC @VOXdotcom @FoxNews @AJplus @_SecondThought @conureCC @TheYoungTurks @SamSeder @BillMaher

I'm a fan of #MSNBC (which has that name because--maybe it's obvious, but I didn't know until Wiktionary told me just now--it was actually co-founded by Microsoft & the National Broadcasting Company ... kinda like when you realize that CBS is just a division (well, the flagship division) of Paramount Global)

... but they keep talking about Democracy as they discuss Politics, as if they are the same thing! (They're not ... well, not exactly)

To Keep Up on My 'Research,'

"Politics" has been warped into meaning 'elected-officials behaviors that influence our decision to vote for them (or not).' 'Our voting for the officials (and their persistence in behaving the way their voters want them to)' is what MSNBC calls "Democracy," but Democracy is also 'people's continued support of one business over another' and 'people's agreement to obey the law' etc.

That becomes important because Our Government--at least 'where the rubber meets the road' (i.e. when officers approve of new laws or -Constitutional amendments etc.)--is not a Democracy. The people in office can choose to follow The Will of the People, but that's not their job. Their job is to be the Re-Public ... we voted for them because (we believe) they think like we do, and so their government-decisions (we believe) will be the same ones we would make in their position.

The proto-word “*Kwo-” (a 'phoneme' deep below the word "Democracy") is the stem of Relative- & Interrogative Pronouns, influencing the words "Cheese "a Big Thing;" |cue "Stage Direction;" Either; |hidalgo; How; |kickshaw; Neither; |neuter; |qua; Quality; |quandary; |quantity; |quasar; |quasi; |quasi-; Query; |quib; |quibble; |quiddity; |quidnunc; Quip; |quodlibet; |quondam; |quorum; Quote; |quotidian; |quotient; |ubi; |ubiquity; What; When; |whence; Where; Whether; Which; |whither; Who; Whoever; Whom; Whose; Why, in what |Respect, to what Extent, which Way."
just like #Kwi-

Still trying to figure out 'what makes Republicans different from Democrats,' I stumbled onto this video which may explain things ...

I also found (but probably didn't 'watch' very intently)
Republican 'talking heads' frequently spout, "We are not 'a democracy,' we are 'a constitutional republic.'" I disagree; We are a democracy; 'the nation is overseen' by a constitutional republic (manned by the people we elect to represent us).

That's why we pledge allegiance "to the Republic." If we were "a Republic," we wouldn't need to affirm that allegiance.

The Republicans who say that may sound a little hypocritical as they often say it from a position they won through a democratic vote. Our laws are passed by their (not our) decision, as the Re-Public.

The Republicans--I seem to recall--want a smaller government ... perhaps thinking that the true democracy is 'on the street' (i.e. what you do inside your house is your business (as long as it doesn't harm anyone else, of course); just like how you spend your money, the words you say, the food & drink you consume, the jobs you do)
