@Family_Handyman lists some Foods You Shouldn't #Nuke (Shouldn't 'Cook in the #Microwave') | #Microwaving #Microwaved #Nuked #Nuking #NukeIt

The Family Handyman lists the #unmicrowavable foods & explains why you shouldn't microwave them in a slide-show linked through 'that word' below; but first I want to understand that word better. And I find you understand words better if you look at 'the words at their base' (then going on to look at the words at those words' bases, then the words at those words' bases, etc.-etc. ad infinitum)

The word “Microwave” means an Electromagnetic Wave with a name built on Micro- + Wave (the frequencies used in the #MicrowaveOven, a.k.a. #TheMicrowave or #MicroCook).

The Family Handyman fully explains why you shouldn't use the microwave on these foods that I'll go ahead & list here:
  1. Hard-Boiled Eggs
  2. Breast Milk
  3. Processed Meat (one that I'll probably keep on microwaving)
  4. Rice
  5. Chicken
  6. Leafy Greens
  7. Beets
  8. Hot Peppers
  9. Fruit (particularly Grapes)
  10. Potatoes (another one I'll keep microwaving ... mostly in the form of 'French Fries,' and/or the potatoes cooked in with the frozen breakfast-burritos ...)
