'Those words' (below-hyperlinked to a post about Speech-anatomy) are built on an even-deeper source ... something crucial that firms the foundation upon which our lexicon stands ...
The word “Soft” is built on words that mean “|Fitting, |Agreeable.”
The word “Hard” (the opposite of both "Soft" and "Easy") is built on the proto-word *kar-.
The word “Easy” is built on words that mean “to |Throw- or |Impel-|To.”
The word “Difficult” (synonym of "Hard") is built on words that mean “Not, Away from (Dis-) + Easy to |Do/|Set/|Put.”
Or am I looking at that wrong (or 'wrongly' 🤓)? Tell
me how-wrong/right I am in the comments below 😁
