Cathleen explains the Bison Ten Yell (or else she totally makes something up to replace the very-bad pun for the 200th birthday (bicen-ten-nial) of an imaginary celebrity) in a report linked through 'those words' below; but first I want to understand those words better. And I find you understand words better if you look at 'the words at their base' (then going on to look at the words at those words' bases, then the words at those words' bases, etc.-etc. ad infinitum)
Bison Ten-Yell was a Language of Ten Secret Signals that could be #Yelled to |Allies on the Battle|field (much like the Languages used by |Quarterbacks when Announcing the Next Play to their Teammates in American Football ... "Blue-42! Blue-42! Hut! Hut! ... Hut!").
I don't know what that has to do with the “Bison,” but that word (America's National Mammal) is built on either-ancient words that mean "Wild |Ox (|Aurochs ... the word, but probably not the actual Aurochs)" or "the Stinking Animal (due to its Scent while |Rutting ... like the |Weasel)" (wrongly called Buffalo). #Bisontine #Bison

I sometimes get a little 'thrill' from realizing that I have the same birthday as several famous people, and enough other people get that thrill from seeing their birthday-cohort (both the currently-famous & the probably-not-yet famous) that I figure it's worth doing 'one of these entries for every birthday' ...
