I try to find Erin Miller on Twitter, and I probably did ... along with a few dozen other 'Erin Miller's ... and 1100+ of them on LinkedIn ... but (with a little information from her TED Talk's description) I found this specific 'Erin Miller'!
She speaks against Online Dating, fueled by FOMO; the Hookup Culture, the decline of Courting & Romance & other things that would contribute to the Intimacy that our Mortal Souls need.
She remembers her mother's lesson, that Connection is the most Beneficent thing to Give someone and -the Cruelest thing you can Deny them.
Many people prefer the Emotionless, Brief, Carnal, Impersonal, Passionate Hookup to 'the Addicts' Roller-Coaster of Gratification-Delayed & then -Briefly Fulfilled (before it's -Delayed again & -eventually Thrown-away Forever).'
But Erin implies that 'the Addiction' is needed to Validate people's emotions.
