@Ridddlers explains the Fabric that inspired #TheEmperorsNewClothes (the #NakedEmperor in the #HansChristianAndersen tale), known as #DhakaMuslin | #Dhaka (in #Bangladesh) #Muslin

Ridddle explains the translucent fabric in a report linked through 'that word' below; but first I want to understand that word better. And I find you understand words better if you look at 'the words at their base' (then going on to look at the words at those words' bases, then the words at those words' bases, etc.-etc. ad infinitum) ...

Dhaka Muslin is a fabric so thin it's translucent (even wearing several layers).
Dhaka” (name of the capital of Bangladesh (a country in Southern Asia) ... ঢাকা (|Bengali) ढाका (Hindi, Nepali) ڈھاکہ (Urdu)) might be named for the Tree called #Dhak, a word that might be built on ঢাক (a Traditional |Membranophone |Instrument) and/or the name of the |Hindu Goddess |Dhakeshwari and/or ancient words that mean Watchtower.

The name "Bangladesh" (#Bangladeche (|Portuguese), #Bangladexe (Portuguese)) is built on ancient words that mean "Country-, Kingdom-, Land-, State of the |Bengalis."

The word "Muslin" is built on #Mosul (the name of the Iraqi city where the Delicately Woven Cotton |Fabric was first made ... a fabric once regarded as 'a Silk as Rare as |Gold,' now regarded as 'Everyday fabric for |Shirts & |Bed|sheets etc.').

The name "Mosul" is built on ancient words that mean "the |Joined" (in reference to a |Ford & Bridge nearby).
