#Traditional- vs. "Actual"-History @TheOliverStone @Netflix @iMDb (Sort-of Explaining WHY we're not Taught the Specifics)
'That word' (below-hyperlinked to NETFLIX's listing of Oliver Stone's documentary series on America's untold history) is built on an even-deeper source ... something crucial that firms the foundation upon which our lexicon stands ...
The word “Traditional” is built on ancient words that mean "Over + to Give (|Hand Over, as a Long-Established Custom 'Handed |Down' from one Generation to the Next)" (a doublet of Treason) #Tradition #Trad-
I frequently enjoy those 'history they don't teach in school'-shows. There are a few of them on NETFLIX, and I noticed this one by Oliver Stone ... You know Oliver Stone, the acclaimed director of some of the best 'recent history'-films ('Docu-dramas'?). I started watching it, but a) it was close to bedtime & b) the complex specifics are kind of boring.
That sort-of explains why (as Stone mentioned in the series-introduction) children in school are given a slightly-different story than actually occurred. We're told that America entered World War 2 when we bombed a couple Japanese islands and ... yada-yada-yada ... and the Allied Powers won! but the details (that Stone goes-into) involved lots of diplomacy & doubtful situations ...
But that's not the reality we want, so of-course it would be inconvenient to have to deal with. I think that's one of the reasons we appreciate Military Veterans so much---they deal with that stuff so that we don't have to; we only have to acknowledge that there was a problem in history that the military-officials took care-of, so we can get back to the Free Market Rigmarole without worrying too much about foreign enemies.
