In honor of the #LGBTQ+ community, Microsoft Rewards pointed their members to a CNN-World pictorial on the evolution of the rainbow flag (which you can access through 'the emboldened link(s)' below); but first I want to teach you about those words. And I find you understand words better if you see 'the words at their base' (then going on to look at the words at those words' bases, then the words at those words' bases, etc.-etc. ad infinitum into their Foundation)
The "T" of "LGBTQ+" is #Transgender. The prefix “Trans-” is built on ancient words that mean "to Cross over, Pass through, Overcome" (in Chemistry, "a Compound in which Two Characteristic groups are situated on Opposite Sides of an |Axis of a Molecule").
#Trans- #Trans. #Transgendered (opposite of |Cisgender)
Adam Waite describes the evolution as well |
