And I find you understand words better if you look at 'the words at their base' (then going on to look at the words at those words' bases, then the words at those words' bases, etc.-etc. ad infinitum)
Winnie the Pooh was the title character about #Winnie (the #Pooh-Bear originally named Edward, but renamed after the city of #Winnipeg, Canada)
The name “Winnipeg” is built on ancient words that mean Dirty Water.
The bear is called a Pooh because ... well, the explanation A.A. Milne gave (actually referring to a Swan named "Pooh") was that--if you went out and called his name, and he didn't come to your call--you could say that you were just saying 'Pooh!' (a 1920s-form of the expression "Whatever!" or something) "to show him how little you wanted him."
(or it has something to do with the noise that Winnie made when--while his arms were stuck straight up in the air--a fly would land on his nose, and he had to Blow it off.)
I sometimes get a little 'thrill' from realizing that I have the same birthday as several famous people, and enough other people get that thrill from seeing their birthday-cohort (both the currently-famous & the probably-not-yet famous) that I figure it's worth doing 'one of these entries for every birthday' ...

I haven't gotten my Heart of the Nation calendar (which tells me which celebrations we (Catholics) are celebrating, and which color Vestments the clergy are wearing); so I look at my KCM 2022 Calendar, which tells us that today's the day to read Genesis 31:22-32:32 & Matthew 12 (if we're sticking to the plan to read the whole Bible in a Year)
