#DidYouKnow that #FiletMignonDay (or #August13) is a #HappyBirthday that @SpikeDudley5 shares with #SarahHuckabeeSanders @SarahHuckabee & that WHOLE #BirthdayCohort ?? | @SuburbanSoapbox @411Holidays @BirthdayMates #TheFamousPeople @YourTango @MySundayMass

... or Happy 'whichever of these holidays & or event-anniversaries you celebrate!'

Kellie Hemmerly explains the very best #FiletMignon in a video linked through 'that word' below; but first I want to understand that word better. And I find you understand words better if you look at 'the words at their base' (then going on to look at the words at those words' bases, then the words at those words' bases, etc.-etc. ad infinitum)

#Filet #Mignon is a Cut of Meat from the Smaller End of the |Tenderloin.
The word “Filet” is built on ancient words that mean "Fillet." (Actually, I think it's an 'ancient' word that #Fillet is taken-from 😏... on top of foundations that mean Thread (File), on account of the Cut of Meat or -Fish usually being sold |Tied with String.)
The word "Mignon" is built on ancient words that mean Delicate (Pretty Child ... |Minion).

I sometimes get a little 'thrill' from realizing that I have the same birthday as several famous people, and enough other people get that thrill from seeing their birthday-cohort (both the currently-famous & the probably-not-yet famous) that I figure it's worth doing 'one of these entries for every birthday' ...

Today's Birthday-Cohort

Astrologically, their sign is Leo ... no matter WHICH stars they were born under: Dan Fogelberg, Danny Bonaduce, Bert Lahr (The Cowardly Lion, THE WIZARD of OZ), musician Don Ho, Spike Dudley (the teacher whose MMA-action inspired HERE COMES THE BOOM), Sebastian Stan (portraying MARVEL's Winter Soldier), Fidel Castro, Alfred Hitchcock, Annie Oakley, Sarah Huckabee Sanders ... and lots more I don't recognize (maybe you do recognize some ... you can find the date at the birthday-cohort link)

(and--if you or someone you know about has a birthday today
--please mention them (and how you know them or -know
about them) in the comments, thanks)

My Heart of the Nation calendar says that we (Catholics) are celebrating St. Pontian & St. Hippolytus, with the clergy wearing Red Vestments for the Optional Memorial (or White for the Blessed Virgin Mary, Green Vestments otherwise)
