I sometimes get a little 'thrill' from realizing that I have the same birthday as several famous people, and enough other people get that thrill from seeing their birthday-cohort (both the currently-famous & the probably-not-yet famous) that I figure it's worth doing 'one of these entries for every birthday'---maybe focusing on one of these holidays & or event-anniversaries in each entry)?'

A collection (of some of the BEST #Fudge Recipes) is linked through 'the main word' below; but first I want to understand that word better. And I find that you understand words better when you look at the other words at the bases of the words you're thinking-of ...
The word “Fudge” is built on ... you'd think the Confection was the original meaning of the word, but it originally meant "Faked-up (on the spot), Insubstantial," (based on either ancient words that mean "to |Suit, make Fit" or the surname Fudge (Captain Fudge), from the surname #Fuche (a pet form of #Fulcher) which is based on ancient words that mean People Army).
