@NYPost helps @TopAgencyGLOBAL tell us Which #Confection is Which U.S. State's Top Candy (and they don't believe people in Alaska or Hawaii EAT Candy!) | #Confections #Confectioner #Confectionary #Confectionery
NEW YORK POST explains the map (and links to TopAgency's report on it) in a report linked through 'the hyperlinks' below; but first I want to teach you about those words. And I find you understand words better if you see 'the words at their base' (then going on to look at the words at those words' bases, then the words at those words' bases, etc.-etc. ad infinitum into their Foundation)
The word “|Confection|” is built on ancient words that mean "to Make-, Do- (Set-, Put) With" (also "something Prepared with Sugar or -Syrup, like Candies, |Bonbons, light Pastry").
I'll list all the states & their 'top-selling' candies (maybe people like another candy better, but I think these are based on 'sales'), starting with
- I looked for "Alaska" and "Hawaii" ... the two publications didn't acknowledge those two states ...
- M&Ms: Oregon, Washington, California, Wyoming, Colorado, New Mexico, North Dakota, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Missouri, Ohio, Florida, Georgia, Virginia, West Virginia, New York, Maryland, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maine (I might've gotten some of those last little states mixed up)
- Snickers: Idaho, South Dakota
- Starburst: Nevada
- Skittles: Utah, Arizona, Montana, Texas, Minnesota, Iowa, Arkansas, Louisiana, Michigan, Illinois, Tennessee, Mississippi, Alabama, North & South Carolina, New Jersey
- KitKat: Kansas, Indiana, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, Vermont
- Reese's Pieces: Rhode Island, Delaware, New Hampshire
