Watching, |those words| (below-linked to the VOX article) comes to mind; so I found out a little more about |those words| and share my findings with you below (and you might add to the discussion in the comments).
The word |Snickers| is |Imitative of the |Half-|Suppressed Laugh (like the |Dutch word for "to |Gasp, |Sob" or the Horse's |Nicker ... and the candy-bar was named after a racehorse of Frank Mars' (a horse named after a popular horserace---The Snickersnee), like several of Mars' candy-bars (Milky Way, Marathon---both named after racehorses)). 
The word |Welcomes| is built on ancient words that mean "Pleasure, Desire, Choice (see Will)" & the proto-word *gwa- "to Go, Come" (evolving into the ancient word that means "|Guest").
