Well, first let's look at 'that word'—built on an even-deeper source ... something crucial that firms the foundation upon which the our lexicon stands ...
The word "Desire" is built on ancient words that mean "From + Heavenly Body, Star, Constellation (like in Consider)" (Craving, that which is |Longed-for).
'Desire' is more like "the fuel the sees you through to the finish"—beyond 'just random fuel that could be used for any work,' it's fuel that only works for one-and-only-one purpose.

- Determine exactly what you intend to give in return for the money you desire.

- Create a definite plan for carrying out your desire, and begin at once–whether you are ready or not–to put this plan into action.
- Write out a clear, concise statement of the amount of money you intend to acquire, name the time-limit for its acquisition, state what you intend to give in return for the money, and describe clearly the plan through which you intend to accumulate it.
- Read your written statement aloud, twice daily—once just before bed at night, and once after arising in the morning. AS YOU READ, SEE AND FEEL AND BELIEVE YOURSELF ALREADY IN POSSESSION OF THE MONEY.
The method by which DESIRE for riches can be transmuted into its financial equivalent, consists of six definite, practical steps ... viz:
