#GeorgeCarlin @YouTube explains Why #Injuns (or "Indians") is THE RIGHT term for #NativeAmericans | #People (#MyPeeps) #Injun #HonestInjun
The Youtube-video of comedians complaining about Politically Correct-/Cancel-Culture--cued-up to George Carlin's explanation of 'the right term for "native americans"--is linked through the main words below; but first, let's examine those words by examining the words they're built-on.
"Indians" has nothing to do with India (the idea that Christopher Columbus thought they were 'in India' ... isn't real, because that area was called "Hindustan" at the time). "Spoiling" the video (a little ... there's still lots of 'comics' reactions to cancel-culture' to watch), I'll leak that 'George explains that the term #Indians comes from Columbus's bad Spanish description of the natives, describing them as (his Spanish for) "a People in God."'
The word “People” carries the scent of “Nation, Body of Citizens, Multi|tude, Crowd, Throng.”
