My Quest for #Compendiums (#Compendia?) | starting with #SNLcasts, with help from @Wikipedia & @Enews | #Compendium

For the longest time, I've meant to post 'a list of all the members of the cast (and some of the crew) of SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE'; but I haven't yet (and will start-to below), because ... I don't know, but it has to do with "Compendium."

'That word' (below-hyperlinked to a discussion of this- and other #compendiums (or #compendia?) we want to see on the `Net) is built on an even-deeper source ... something crucial that firms the foundation upon which our lexicon stands ...

The word “Compendium” (a Brief Compilation Containing the |General |Principles or |Leading |Points of a |Longer System or Work) is built on ancient words that mean "to Weigh, |Hang, |Pay (to |Draw, Stretch, Spin) + With, Together" (also |Concise, Shortened & |Abridged but |Comprehensive, Advantageous). 

hmm ... maybe I'm mixing up "compendium" with
 "compilation" ... although (especially on the Internet)
 you should be able to access 'any entry in the whole

 'compilation' from its 'compendium.'

 so that you can 'copy & paste' it where you need "a list

 of all the cast-members of SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE.

Speaking of hosts, most of the hosts were 'guest hosts,' starting with George Carlin, going on through several other guests (you can find on various tabs on that page ... some guests hosting, some playing music, some appearing in cameos)
