#HappyBirthday to Y'all (in the #November27 #BirthdayCohort with @JaLeeLWhite & #JoshBlue @JoshBlueComedy & ALL #TheFamousPeople @Bing lists) on #CraftJerkyDay | #NationalDaysCalendar @HolidaysCalendr @BirthdayMates @YourTango @MySundayMass

... or -on 'whichever of these holidays, awareness-dates &or event-anniversaries you celebrate!'

National Days Calendar explains Craft #Jerky Day in a report linked through 'that word' below; but first I want to understand that word better. And I find you understand words better if you look at 'the words at their base' (then going on to look at the words at those words' bases, then the words at those words' bases, etc.-etc. ad infinitum)

The word “|Jerky| (\ #CraftJerky (\ #BeefJerky #PorkJerky #ChickenJerky #TurkeyJerky etc.)” (if not "Characterized by #Jerks" #Jerkily #Jerkiness) is built on ancient words that mean "a #Jerked Meat (Cut in Strips & |Dried in the Sun), |Dried Flesh."
The word "|Jerk| (\ #Jerking #Jerker #TearJerker)" is built on ancient words that are echoic of "to Lash, |Strike as with a Whip" (\ #KneeJerk #DoTheJerk or the #HerkyJerky) or it may be 'an insult' that may be built on a mishearing of the lyrics of Big Rock Candy Mountain or from the common action of a |Soda-Fountain |Clerk (\ #SodaJerk #SodaJerker) or -built on #Jerkwater (|Petty, Inferior, |Insignificant)

I sometimes get a little 'thrill' from realizing that I have the same birthday as several famous people, and enough other people get that thrill from seeing their birthday-cohort (both the currently-famous & the probably-not-yet famous) that I figure it's worth doing 'one of these entries for every birthday' ...

Today's Birthday-Cohort

Astrologically, their sign is Sagittarius ... no matter WHICH stars they were born under: Bruce Lee, Jimi Hendrix, Stephen K. Bannon, Lyle & Erik Menendez, Rep. Paul Gosar, Jaleel White (Urkel on Family Matters), Bill Nye (the Science Guy, saving the world), James Avery (Uncle Phil on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air), Fisher Stevens, comedian Josh Blue, Curtis Armstrong (Booger in REVENGE OF THE NERDS), Buffalo Bob Smith (creator of Howdy Doody), Bob Parsons (founder of GoDaddy.com)

... and many others (most of whom are at the 'Birthday-Cohort' link)---

you might comment telling why we should recognize a special one I missed ...

Or maybe you'd like a reminder of 'where you've seen one of the ones we DO mention'; Ask in your comment!

My Heart of the Nation calendar says that we (Catholics) are celebrating Blessed Virgin Mary, with the clergy wearing White Vestments for the Optional Memorial (Green Vestments otherwise)
