#DidYouKnow that #NationalLighthouseDay (the #August7 Holiday) is also #HappyBirthday to #CharlizeTheron @CharlizeAfrica & @Jimmy_Wales & ALL the @FamousBirthdays in the #BirthdayCohort ?? | @HolidaysCalendr @411Holidays @BirthdayMates @YourTango @MySundayMass

... or 'whichever of these holidays & or event-anniversaries you celebrate!'

Holidays Calendar explains #Lighthouse day in a report that's linked through 'that word' below; but first I want to understand that word better. And I find you understand words better if you look at 'the words at their base' (then going on to look at the words at those words' bases, then the words at those words' bases, etc.-etc. ad infinitum)

The word “Lighthouse (\ #Lighthouses)” (word for a Tower exhibiting Lights to Warn |Mariners of their |Approach of the Shoreline, making the word a metaphor for People who stand as |Beacons to Guide Others Homeward) is built of the words Light & House

I sometimes get a little 'thrill' from realizing that I have the same birthday as several famous people, and enough other people get that thrill from seeing their birthday-cohort (both the currently-famous & the probably-not-yet famous) that I figure it's worth doing 'one of these entries for every birthday' ...

Today's Birthday-Cohort

Astrologically, their sign is Leo ... no matter WHICH stars they were born under: B.J. Thomas (Oklahoma-born singer of "Hooked on a Feeling," "What's Forever For?" etc.), John Glover (Lex Luthor's dad in SMALLVILLE), Eric Johnson (Flash Gordon, in a brief TV-series (updating the story?)), Charlize Theron, Mata Hari, David Duchovny, Maggie Wheeler (Oh. My. God.... it's F*R*I*E*N*D*S' Janice!), Wayne Knight (SEINFELD's N(nnnn)ewman), James Randi, Wikipedia's (co-)founder Jimmy Wales, FBI-director Robert Mueller, Garrison Keillor, co-founder of modern geography Carl Ritter ... and lots more I don't recognize (maybe you do recognize some ... you can find the date at the birthday-cohort link)

(and--if you or someone you know about has a birthday today
--please mention them (and how you know them or -know
about them) in the comments, thanks)

My Heart of the Nation calendar tells me that we Catholics are celebrating with the clergy wearing Green Vestments for the season.
