Back in the 20th Century, we had #TVGuide to help us Navigate the Available Options on Television; now, @Bing helps pick up the slack! | #Guide
Microsoft Bing helps us explore the current television-landscape, starting with a search you can access through 'the bold hyperlink(s)' below; but first I want to teach you about those words. And I find you understand words better if you see 'the words at their base' (then going on to look at the words at those words' bases, then the words at those words' bases, etc.-etc. ad infinitum into their Foundation)
The word “Guide (or #Guided #Guidance #Guides #TourGuide #GuidanceCounselor #GuideMeAndIWillFollow #LetMeBeYourGuide)” is built on ancient words that mean “to See.”
The page (in case they change it from what the link brings up now) starts out featuring some of the most popular 'channels' (technically "streaming services"---which is important ... for some reason I might find out later):
- hulu
- Disney+
- Amazon Prime
- tubi
- sling (then they ENTITLE IT "Sling TV," just like the titles "Hulu" and "Tubi" ... weird, the difference between the logos & the 'streamers' they identify)
- fubo ("FuboTV")
- SONY CRACKLE ("Sony Crackle")
- Paramount+ ("CBS All Access")
And then 'answers' from 3 sources (as the search-engine regarded the search to be 'a question: What are the "most popular streaming services"?'): Tom's Guide's review of 'the new Big Three' (Netflix, Hulu & Amazon Video), inc.com's Top Ten, and TechRadar's 15 Best.
