It's @OkayToBeSmart about #DaylightSavingTime (#DST ... not #daylightsavingStime) | @CNN @NBCMontana @TODAYshow @lock_the_clock @SaveStandard
Joe Hanson explains in the video below.
What I show first is 'the group of words' that give "that word" (linked to 'a discussion to remember that DST is "a season" and not just "two little clock-shifts"') a place to connect to your vocabulary ... deeper sources that firm the foundation upon which our lexicon stands ...
The initials “DST” stand for #Daylight Saving Time, giving us the essential reason why we a) needed it 'back in the day,' but b) no longer need it, with artificial sunlight (although it's not as "pure" as the natural version) serving us 'just as well' (if-not 'better'!)---because it sets the clock so that (in 'the |Tropic of Cancer,' I think the moderate zone of the Northern Hemisphere is called) the day begins at sunrise (rather than having to wake up in the dark).
"Daylight" is (of course) the Light that hits your region of The Earth directly from The Sun (making it Daytime in that area).
