Why Buddhists (that's Catholic- & Protestant- & All Kinds of-Christians, Jews, Muslims, Baha`is, etc) Know the Best #Salvation | @Patheos

'That word' (below-hyperlinked to a study on Kenneth Copeland Ministries' salvation-prayer) is built on an even-deeper source ... something crucial that firms the foundation upon which our lexicon stands ...

"Salvation"--in the original sense for Christians--was always "the #Saving of a Soul" (how Lord Jesus Christ Rescues the |Soul from its Damnation-to-Eternal Punishment).
#Salvage
The word “Saving” (the 'Rescue'-verb, the 'keep'-verb and the 'Except'-preposition) is built on “Safe” (Whole, Well-|Kept).

This is where atheists get theism wrong----it's not about 'whether God actually created the universe' or 'whether Lord Jesus Christ somehow served as 'bail-payment for the sentence you're doomed to serve for a crime that no one accused anyone of ... it's about 'knowing you're okay, even though you probably don't deserve to be.'

I'm a ... a form of Catholic---my 'godfather' (think of 'a sponsor' ... the pyramid-marketer's 'inviting upliner') compared "Catholicism after 'Confirmation' (the graduation-ceremony after a few weeks of classes in which you learn the meanings behind the rituals of the Catholic Church)" is similar to Buddhism.

(And 'Buddhism' isn't about "believing" anything--at least not in the sense of 'accepting as true the witness given by someone who didn't see the happening they're reporting to you'--it's about 'proceeding with heed to the one who's been through a struggle similar to yours.')hrhrhr'Those last two paragraphs' were a "tangent" to explain 'my perspective on this.' I accept that the Christian/Jewish story is "a myth"---just like the Science story is (a 'myth' is--of course--not necessarily "a lie"; it's a story that a) is told by someone who did not witness the actual event & b) cannot be proven or disproven.

(Oh, 'Science' (i.e. the scientific community) can prove that something is possible; but that (and proving that any other way is impossible) is the closest they can get to 'the proof.')

Occasionally, I'll come across a 'juxtaposition of mutually-exclusive facts' (if this is true, that can't be true!); and I'll ask a Christian friend about it---she (and yes, it's usually a "she") won't even address 'my concern' and will instead 'quote a bedrock Scripture' (i.e. cite a verse-or-two of The Bible that states the fact that she firmly believes ... atheists call such citation "Bible-thumping")---indicating that 'it's settled ... and what I'm asking-about therefore doesn't even matter.'
