The word |Hilarity| sits at the peak of the high tower above the proto-word *selh- "Reconcile," which evolved to its current meaning through ancient words that mean "to Comfort ... |Appease ... Graceful ... Cheerful" (the #Hilaria were a class of holidays in ancient Rome---days that included the Spring Equinox, Wedding Anniversaries, Sons' Birthdays, etc.)
