And I find you understand words better if you see 'the words at their base' (then going on to look at the words at those words' bases, then the words at those words' bases, etc.-etc. ad infinitum into their Foundation)

You know, I've been hearing a lot about how "We are governed by Laws, and not Men" (a quote of President John Adams, echoed by several leaders ... including President Joe Biden); maybe that should be how we name 'the new party (that Cheney & Gabbard will lead)'---as the word "Democratic" proposes that 'The Power is held by The People,' & the word "Republican" proposes that "The Power is held by 'a Fraction of the People' who Represent the Public Masses" (well, I'm thinking more 'on the model of "Democracy");
the new party should be #Nomoscracy (or maybe #Dikeocracy or #Nomocracy), from words that mean "Strength- or Rule by Law, -Act, -Statute (or maybe -Fairness, -Legislation)."
