#HappyBirthday to Y'all (in the #December31 #BirthdayCohort with @JoeyMcIntyre & @ValKilmer & ALL the #FamousBirthdays @Bing lists) on #NationalChampagneDay @WikiDiff | @HolidaysCalendr @BirthdayMates @YourTango @MySundayMass

... or -on 'whichever of these holidays, awareness-dates &/or event-anniversaries you celebrate!'

Holidays Calendar explains National #Champagne Day in a report linked through 'that word' below; but first I want to understand that word better. And I find you understand words better if you look at 'the words at their base' (then going on to look at the words at those words' bases, then the words at those words' bases, etc.-etc. ad infinitum)

The word |Champagne| (or #Champaign)” is the name of a former province in France (a name built on ancient words that mean Open Country (Campaign)) where the Effervescent Wine was originally made (specifically in the vineyards of Reims)---a name first used for any wines from the region, then narrowed to the Sparkling/Effervescent wines from there, then expanded to apply to Effervescent wines from anywhere (although Holidays Calendar says something about there being "only 8 kinds of grapes" that can be used?)

No, I looked at that "3" wrong ... Chardonnay, Pinot Noir & Pinot Meunier, with Pinot-Gris, -Blanc, Petit Meslier & Arbane if you're looking for some variety ...

I sometimes get a little 'thrill' from realizing that I have the same birthday as several famous people, and enough other people get that thrill from seeing their birthday-cohort (both the currently-famous & the probably-not-yet famous) that I figure it's worth doing 'one of these entries for every birthday' ...

This Day's Birthday-Cohort

Astrologically, their sign is Capricorn ... no matter WHICH stars they were born under: Val Kilmer, John Denver, Anthony Hopkins, Donna Summer, Donald Trump Jr., Bebe Neuwirth (Frasier's ex-wife Lilith), Ben Kingsley, Senator Jeff Flake, Psy, Gen. Charles Cornwallis, James Remar (he's been on shows like Sex and the City, but I mainly remember him as Raiden in a MORTAL KOMBAT-sequel), Joey McIntyre (youngest of the "New Kids on the Block")

... and many others (most of whom are at the 'Birthday-Cohort' link)---

you might comment telling why we should recognize a special one I missed ...

Or maybe you'd like a reminder of 'where you've seen one of the ones we DO mention'; Ask in your comment!
