#HappyBirthday to Y'all (in the #October6 #BirthdayCohort with #PinkPowerRanger @_AmyJoJohnson & #AdventurousBabysitter @Elisabeth_Shue & ... You?) on #CerebralPalsy Day | @HolidaysCalendr @BirthdayMates #TheFamousPeople @YourTango @MySundayMass

Holidays Calendar explains a bit about Cerebral Palsy in a report linked through 'that word' below; but first I want to understand that word better. And I find you understand words better if you look at 'the words at their base' (then going on to look at the words at those words' bases, then the words at those words' bases, etc.-etc. ad infinitum)

#Cerebral #Palsy (abbreviated #CP ... often pronounced #CerebalPalsy) is a lifelong disability caused by injury to the developing (in utero) brain---originally a general term for cases of paralysis that seemed traceable to "a Morbid State of the |Encephalon."

The word “Cerebral (& #Cerebro- #Cerebration #Cerebrovascular #Cerebrum #Cerebellum)” is built on ancient words that mean Horn, |Head (Brain, Understanding).
The word "Palsy (& #Palsied ... a doublet of #Paralysis & #Paralytic #Paralyze #Paralyzed #Paralyzing #Paralyse)" is built on ancient words that mean "to |Loosen- Un|tie- (Divide, Cut Apart) Beside (of #Para-)."

I sometimes get a little 'thrill' from realizing that I have the same birthday as several famous people, and enough other people get that thrill from seeing their birthday-cohort (both the currently-famous & the probably-not-yet famous) that I figure it's worth doing 'one of these entries for every birthday' ...

Today's Birthday-Cohort

Astrologically, their sign is Libra ... no matter WHICH stars they were born under: Amy Jo Johnson (the first Pink MIGHTY MORPHIN` POWER RANGER?), Brett Gelman (... I don't know recognize the name; but I recognize his face from ... something ...), Elisabeth Shue ... and lots more I don't recognize (maybe you do recognize some ... you can find the date at the birthday-cohort link)

(and--if you or someone you know about has a birthday today
--please mention them (and how you know them or -know
about them) in the comments, thanks)

My Heart of the Nation calendar says that we (Catholics) are celebrating Saint Bruno and Blessed Marie Rose Durocher, with the clergy wearing White Vestments for the Optional Memorials (Green Vestments otherwise)
