I'll read- & summarize how BigThink explains findings on The Big #Bang in a report linked through 'that word' below; but first I want to understand that word better. And I find you understand words better if you look at 'the words at their base' (then going on to look at the words at those words' bases, then the words at those words' bases, etc.-etc. ad infinitum)
The Big Bang is a popular name for the event where the entire Universe erupted from a |Cosmic Singularity (sometimes called a Quantum Singularity, the basis for the Quantum |Entanglement theory of Prayer).
The word “Bang” is built on ancient words that Imitate/Echo "|Striking with a Loud Blow" or |Pounding or |Hammering.
The article goes into a big explanation (with lots of astrophysics stuff that might explain a different conclusion than the one I read 😏---maybe Dr. Tyson would explain it better), but 'the conclusion I pull out of it' is that The Big Bang was not so much 'the origin of the Universe's existence' as it was 'the event that closed the previous phase of this timeline & -that opened the current phase of the timeline.'
