I Think "Notes" are My #Means of Learning Things ('Meanses?' 'Meanoui?') ... starting with Notes on "Notes of a #Scale"
I've already done an entry for "Notes" (hyperlinked to 'the
main words' below); first, let's understand thoset words better. And I find
that you understand words better when you look at the other words at the bases
of the words you're thinking-of ...
The word “Means” (the "Resources at one's |Disposal for Accomplishing Tasks"-meaning) is actually built on the same ancient words as Meaning.
The word “Scale” (at-least in the sense of 'a Musical-Scale') is built on ancient words that mean |Ladder, |Staircase, "to Climb" (Scan)---also the base for the Payrate- or the "Same |Proportions at a Different Size"-sense (#ToScale #ScaleDown #Downscale #ScaleFactor #WorkingForScale #LargeScale #SmallScale #LargerScale #SmallerScale).
Other senses include "the Skin-Type/Condition," based on ancient words that mean "to Cut"---which is also the base for the "Pan in a Weighing-Balance"-sense, the "Removing Fishes' Scales"-sense and the "Weighing in a Balance"-sense. #Scales #Scaled #Scaling #Scalable #Scalar #ScalePan #Scaly
I only remember 'taking notes' in one college-course (at Oklahoma City
University where I was a-- ... well, I felt like a Freshman all
five-or-six years I went there before I dropped out 🎓🤨).
I don't really remember what I learned in that course (I think it was
'History?' maybe 'American History?') And I don't think I ever really
reviewed my notes ... I think that
'only the process of comprehending what the professor was telling us & the
writing it down' was enough to store the facts in my working-memory (where it
would stay until more information crowded it out long after the tests for
which I needed it).
(And of course--if it'd been long-enough (between the note-taking and the
tests) for the info to've been pushed out--I could've gone back
and reviewed my notes.)
So that's what I suppose I'm bringing from 'my college-education' to my
current 'industry' (really more like 'just an interest'): The Healing
Frequencies (on the Scale with Middle A (A4) is 440 Hz (Hertz: the number of
sound-wavelengths that fit in one ... one ... one something ... I'll look it up and review it later
...
... and I don't think anybody ever calls C, E, F or B
"B-sharp, F-flat, E-sharp or C-flat" (respectively)
---I'm not sure if those notes actually exist!
Now, I "know" 'all of the above' ... until I watch a few more MARVEL-movies;
but then I can come back here and review it all again!
