The #Winx Saga (FATE) @WinxFateNetflix ... Is That Related to the #WinXFunction ("Win + X") @TenForums? | @Jan_Gilbert @getFANDOM @theHeraldSun @AmandaTheJedi

A discussion (inspired by the fantasy-series) is linked through 'the main word/name' below. Here, I list a few 'root-words' that tie that word into our lexicon....

Winx” is the name for a group of Fairies who protect the |World-of-Magic in the Multiverse of 'The Winx Saga' (unless NETFLIX changed that from the way it was in "Winx Club" & "World of Winx"). These fairies formed the club at their school (Alfea) in response to a group of upper-classman |Witches called "The Trix."
Though it may be different in the NETFLIX-version (where I first 'met' The Winx Saga), 'Winx' refers to either 'the Transformation each girl undergoes before battle (from Human- into Fairy-Form ... like Werewolves or Transforming Vampires)' or 'the Magical Energy the Fairies can access' (it might've had something to do with their Fairy-|Wings in previous versions, but the NETFLIX-Fairies are notably sans Wings).

From "Episode 102" ("Welcome to Magix!" on Cine´lume/RAI English,
"More than High School" on 4Kids) of Winx Club:

Bloom: The Winx, us! I mean, if we're going to be a group, we should have a name! Don't you think?

Tecna: Actually it's not a bad idea... A name is good for quick reference.

Stella: It's true! The three witches are the Trix. And we can be called something like... The Super Five... The Stella Five... Oh, I've got it! The Airy Fairies!

Musa: The... The what?

Musa: Nah... Sounds terrible!

Flora: I vote for Winx!

Tecna & Musa: Me too!

Bloom: Perfect! Because you see, I've already come up with the logo! Simple, yet catchy.

  • Kiko shows his logo*

Stella: This looks fantastic!

Tecna: Yes, but er... What does Winx mean?

Bloom: Oh, nothing. Just Winx!

That word came up when Jan shared the video below:

I'm just guessing the name might've been inspired by 'the Windows-function' (the same way Baum was inspired to name his fantasy-land when he looked at the label on his library's card-catalog: "O-Z") ... although it very-well could've been inspired the same way the winning racehorse's name was inspired (and I agree (I would imagine) that a |Wink from a 'Vegas Showgirl' does make a man feel like he's got power from a mysterious source!)
