'That word' (below-hyperlinked to BBC News's report on the virus) is built on an even-deeper source ... something crucial that firms the foundation upon which our lexicon stands ...
The word “Virus” is built on words that mean “Poisonous Fluid” (Bird|lime, |Mistletoe, Sticky Substance, Cherry, Blood ... first referring to |Venereal Disease when naming "an Agent that Causes Infectious Disease").
The word “CoronaVirus” (I admit, I originally thought it was named after 'the alcoholic drink' too ... and it kinda was, as the drink gets its name from the same source) is built on words that mean “Garland, Wreath (Crown, |Halo presented to |Athletes, -Gods or -the Dead)”
