Stan Lee was born Stanley Martin Lieber on December 28, 1922, in New York City, New York (United States of America).
He became famous for writing comic-books (under the name 'Stan Lee'–probably because it was easier to write out–which he eventually changed his legal name-to) about 'heroes with flawed humanity.'
Lee was suffering pneumonia, and was rushed to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center on complications.
There he bid the world his final "Excelsior!"
Services are scheduled ... or not ...
I understand that people need to go to funeral, to 'fully grieve' the loss.
That's why I'd only attend the funeral 'to help his "survivors" deal with the grief.'
He is survived by (along with all of his characters living on in fans' imaginations) his daughter J.C.
And he is predeceased by his wife of 69 years Joan.
Otherwise, I simply 'release him' in the infamous Klingon way.
