Is It Love? or is it Only #Limerence?

The word “Limerance” is rooted in ancient words that mean “Limer- (a made-up prefix, invented by American psychologist Dorothy Tennov when she coined this term ... but which might mean (see below)) + -|ence”
(when you have a Crush on someone, you undergo a body-condition marked by Intrusive Thinking (a |Constant |Daydreaming of your crush), |Ache in the |Heart, Acute |Sensitivity to any |Act-or-thought that can be Interpreted Favorably, Fear of Rejection- and Un|settling |Shyness-in the crush's presence, Disregard for all |Other |Concerns, Added Ability to |Emphasize their Positive Traits and to De-|emphasize their Negative ones).

Dr. Tennov 'just made up the word-part out of almost nothing—she started with the word amorence, but changed it (because I guess she wanted to emphasize that it's not 'the TRUE love' (amo)) to limerence because it looked nice in the French'—the French Limer coming from ancient words that mean "to File, |Sharpen, Polish, Rubdown."

She was telling this to a 1977 newspaper in Britain, so it might be one of those 'if you don't know what the word means, that's good (wink-wink nudge-nudge)'-answers 😉
