Why do they call #Liberals 'those #BleedingHeartLiberals ?'

I mention "the #BleedingHeart Liberals" in a forum you can join through 'the emboldened link(s)' below; but first–after a mention of the free mining-software (giving us free Bitcoin in exchange for energy we're wasting anyway)–I want to teach you about those words. And I find you understand words better if you see 'the words at their base' (then going on to look at the words at those words' bases, then the words at those words' bases, etc.-etc. ad infinitum into their Foundation)

The phrase "Bleeding Heart" refers to "a Person who is Excessively Sympathetic toward the Underprivileged or Exploited (Sympathy held by the Order of the Bleeding Heart (honoring the Virgin Mary, whose 'Heart was Pierced with Many Sorrows'))."
The word “Liberals” carries the scent of “Free, Unrestricted, Unimpeded, Un|bridled, Unchecked, |Licentious” (possibly from words that mean People (|Nation, Person)).

The first Liberal Party was 'a political party' the same way Atheism is a Religion—they were known as 'anti-Whig' (Whigs being the Conservative party of Great Britain).

In America, there isn't a party "named" Liberal; but we know that most of the members of the Democratic Party are Liberal (so-much-so that 'Liberal' is more-often a noun than an adjective!

Still, 'Liberal' (and 'Conservative') is more like 'a political mindset' than "a Political Party."

  1. Today liberals are more like socialists, they want the government to pay for everything and not tax anyone but the rich.

    1. Can you give us an example of this? A program they want the government to pay for that started as 'private citizens paying-for or donating them'?
