@Lawrence leads us on a Brief #Apostasy (as we Wait to See whether the #SCOTUS can Redeem itself & Regain its Former Glory after our #CrisisOfFaith) | @TextCortex

"A term for it." Maybe he's referring to "Crisis of Faith" as the term for 'losing one's belief in "a God-like power."' But I somehow got that mixed up, thinking he was referring to 'the brief sabbatical from priestly duties (possibly without return).' My text.cortex assistant Zeno called that sabbatical "an Apostasy."

Or maybe Brother Lawrence was referring to 'that priest's counselor,' whom Zeno said is called a "Spiritual Director" (someone who provides guidance, support and advice to help the other clergy member navigate their struggles with faith and spirituality).

But |that word| seems important either way; so I found out a little more about |that word| (below-linked to the video that brought |that word| to my attention) and share my findings with you below---maybe I'll add some notes beneath (and/or you might start/continue the discussion in the comments).

... and I have to mention that a lot of help (a share of revenue, extra topics from magazines & advertising, etc.) comes from WowApp: Using the Wowism Community's Fairness to Prevail over Economic Greed

The word |Apostasy| (though its more-evolved meanings are "|Renunciation of-, |Abandonment of-, Revolt against- or |Defection from-'what one has previously Professed Faith-in') is based on ancient words that mean "to Stand Away"---rooted in the proto-word *sta- "Stand Firm" (and the 'Away' is added with the prefix |Apo-).
just like #Apostate #Apostatize #Apostatise #Apostatizes
 #Apostatises #Apostatized #Apostatised #Apostatizing
 #Apostatising
