The word “Gest” is built on ancient words that mean "to Carry On, Wage, Perform, Set in Motion, Drive Forward, Do, Draw Out or -Forth" ("Jest" has the same root, with a sense that means 'Joke' rather than 'Tell the Inspiring Tale').
