#HappyBirthday to Y'all (in the #November7 #BirthdayCohort with @Lorde & @AdamDeVine & ALL #TheFamousPeople) on #BittersweetChocolateWithAlmonds Day @CandyUSA (the #NationalConfectionersAssociation) | @HolidaysCalendr @BirthdayMates @YourTango @MySundayMass

... or -on 'whichever of these holidays, awareness-dates &or event-anniversaries you celebrate!'

Holidays Calendar explains a little bit about Bittersweet Chocolate with #Almonds (except they don't know why the National Confectioners' Association chose the day) in a report linked through 'that word' below; but first I want to understand that word better. And I find you understand words better if you look at 'the words at their base' (then going on to look at the words at those words' bases, then the words at those words' bases, etc.-etc. ad infinitum)

The word “|Almonds| (\ #Almond)” is built on ancient words (which resemble #Amygdala ... a part of the brain named for its almond-shape) that mean ... I'm totally guessing here (with a few clues Etymonline gives me) - The Protection
(the Spanish 'al-' pointing to their common use of the Arabic "definite article" at the beginnings of words, and '-mond' sounding like #Mound built on ancient words that mean Protection).

I sometimes get a little 'thrill' from realizing that I have the same birthday as several famous people, and enough other people get that thrill from seeing their birthday-cohort (both the currently-famous & the probably-not-yet famous) that I figure it's worth doing 'one of these entries for every birthday' ...

Today's Birthday-Cohort

Astrologically, their sign is Scorpio ... no matter WHICH stars they were born under: Jason and Jeremy London, Morgan Spurlock (maker of SUPER SIZE ME), Lorde, Marie Curie, Albert Camus, Adam DeVine, Billy Graham ...

... and many others (most of whom are at the 'Birthday-Cohort' link)---

Tell me about any of today's birthdays who're famous to you (and where we
 should've heard of them).

Do I mention any you haven't heard-of? Ask me about them in the comments!

My Heart of the Nation calendar says that we (Catholics) are celebrating an hour later (the same time, but after having set your clocks back an hour (DAYLIGHT SAVING TIME ENDS)), with the clergy wearing Green Vestments for the day
