#HappyBirthday to Y'all (in the #November24 #BirthdayCohort with #TashaYar @theDeniseCrosby & @Billy_Connolly & ALL #TheFamousPeople @Bing lists) on #SardinesDay | @HolidaysCalendr @BirthdayMates @YourTango @MySundayMass

... or -on 'whichever of these holidays, awareness-dates &or event-anniversaries you celebrate!'

Holidays Calendar explains #Sardines in a report linked through 'that word' below; but first I want to understand that word better. And I find you understand words better if you look at 'the words at their base' (then going on to look at the words at those words' bases, then the words at those words' bases, etc.-etc. ad infinitum)

The word “Sardines (#Sardine #PackedLikeSardines)” is built on #Sardinia, the name of a |Mediterranean island where the fish was prevalent. The name of Sardinia is built on ancient words that refer to an |Iberian Tribe that lived there.
(connected---#Sardonic (apparently- but not really-proceeding from gaiety; to be disdainfully or cynically humorous, or scornfully mocking; A form of wit or humour, being sardonic often involves expressing an uncomfortable truth in a clever and not necessarily malicious way, often with a degree of skepticism. ... #Sardonically) comes from the name of the island, as it was also the source of a Plant with a Poison that beset people with |Delirious Laughter (before it Killed them).)

I sometimes get a little 'thrill' from realizing that I have the same birthday as several famous people, and enough other people get that thrill from seeing their birthday-cohort (both the currently-famous & the probably-not-yet famous) that I figure it's worth doing 'one of these entries for every birthday' ...

This day's Birthday-Cohort

Astrologically, their sign is Sagittarius (in the wake of Scorpio) ... no matter WHICH stars they were born under: Ted Bundy, Linda Tripp, Katherine Heigl, Lucky Luciano, Billy Connolly, anchorwoman Krystal Ball, Scott Joplin, Denise Crosby (Tasha Yar, STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION), Dale Carnegie, theatre-critic Lindsay Ellis

... and many others (most of whom are at the 'Birthday-Cohort' link)---

you might comment telling why we should recognize a special one I missed ...

Or maybe you'd like a reminder of 'where you've seen one of the ones we DO mention'; Ask in your comment!

My Heart of the Nation calendar says that we (Catholics) are celebrating St. Andrew Dŭng-Lac & Companioins, with the clergy wearing Red Vestments for the Memorial
