#HappyBirthday to Y'all (in the #November17 #BirthdayCohort with #DougWalker @ChannelAwesome & @RuPaul & ALL #TheFamousPeople) on #Baklava Day | @HolidaysCalendr @BirthdayMates @YourTango @MySundayMass

... or -on 'whichever of these holidays, awareness-dates &or event-anniversaries you celebrate!'

Holidays Calendar explains the dessert (that’s made out of phyllo pastry that’s been filled with chopped nuts and soaked in honey) in a report linked through 'that word' below; but first I want to understand that word better. And I find you understand words better if you look at 'the words at their base' (then going on to look at the words at those words' bases, then the words at those words' bases, etc.-etc. ad infinitum)

The word |Baklava| is probably built on ancient words that mean "to |Tie-, |Wrap- or Pile up."

I sometimes get a little 'thrill' from realizing that I have the same birthday as several famous people, and enough other people get that thrill from seeing their birthday-cohort (both the currently-famous & the probably-not-yet famous) that I figure it's worth doing 'one of these entries for every birthday' ...

Today's Birthday-Cohort (or as much of it as I could get before the site tried to infect my computer a couple times ...)

Astrologically, their sign is Scorpio (almost the cusp of Sagittarius) ... no matter WHICH stars they were born under: Rachel McAdams, Martin Scorsese, Tom Ellis (Lucifer on LUCIFER), Danny DeVito, RuPaul, the infamous Billy The Kid, Rock Hudson, Lorne Michaels, Stephen Root (commonly playing 'the boss from work'), Lauren Hutton, Representative John Boehner, Nostalgia Critic Doug Walker ...

... and many others (most of whom are at the 'Birthday-Cohort' link)---

Tell me about any of today's birthdays who're famous to you (and where we
 should've heard of them).

Do I mention any you haven't heard-of? Ask me about them in the comments!

My Heart of the Nation calendar says that we (Catholics) are celebrating St. Elizabeth of Hungary, with the clergy wearing White Vestments for the Memorial
