#HappyBirthday to Y'all (in the #October29 #BirthdayCohort with @AliVelshi & #BethChapman @MrsDogC & ... You?) on #Hermit Day | @HolidaysCalendr @BirthdayMates #TheFamousPeople @YourTango @MySundayMass
... or -on 'whichever of these holidays, awareness-dates &or event-anniversaries you celebrate!'
Holidays Calendar discusses #Hermits in a report linked through 'that word' below; but first I want to understand that word better. And I find you understand words better if you look at 'the words at their base' (then going on to look at the words at those words' bases, then the words at those words' bases, etc.-etc. ad infinitum)
The word “Hermit (\ #Hermitage #Eremite #Hermitic #Hermitical #HermitCrab #Eremitic #Eremitical)” is built on ancient words that mean "to Rest, be Quiet" (to Set, Lay ... evolving through words that meant Bereft, Desolate, Empty, Uninhabited, Waste, Solitude, Person of the Desert ...).
I sometimes get a little 'thrill' from realizing that I have the same birthday as several famous people, and enough other people get that thrill from seeing their birthday-cohort (both the currently-famous & the probably-not-yet famous) that I figure it's worth doing 'one of these entries for every birthday' ...
Today's Birthday-Cohort
Astrologically, their sign is Scorpio ... no matter WHICH stars they were born under: Bob Ross (host of The Joy of Painting), Winona Ryder, infamous Nazi Joseph Goebbels, Beth Chapman (wife of Dog the Bounty-Hunter), Richard Dreyfus, Ben Foster (X-Men: The Last Stand), Tracee Ellis Ross (Dr. Rainbow Johnson in black-ish), Kate Jackson (one of Charlie's Angels), Dan Castellaneta, director Ralph Bakshi, news-anchor Ali Velshi ...
but those are just the ones that I agree are famous; You can add
your- or your friends'- or famous people (whom YOU recognize)
in the comments!
