#HappyBirthday to #KelMitchell @iamKelMitchell & @MichaelCohen212 & ... you? (the #August25 #BirthdayCohort) on #WhiskeySour Day | @HolidaysCalendr @BirthdayMates #TheFamousPeople @YourTango @MySundayMass

... or on 'whichever of these holidays & or event-anniversaries you celebrate!'

Holidays Calendar explains the #Whiskey #Sour (Bourbon Whiskey, Lemon Juice, Sugar, with an occasional Cocktail Foamer or Egg White) in a report linked through 'that word' below; but first I want to understand that word better. And I find you understand words better if you look at 'the words at their base' (then going on to look at the words at those words' bases, then the words at those words' bases, etc.-etc. ad infinitum)

The word “Whiskey” is built on ancient words that mean "Water of Life." #AquaVitae #Whisky
The word “Sour” is built on ancient words that mean Salty, Bitter (similar to words that mean Moist, Raw, Cheese). #Souring #Soured #SourCream #Sourly #Sourness #Sourpuss #Sourball #Sourdough #Sauerkraut #Sorrel
variations of the drink include the #NewYorkSour #BostonSour #BaltimoreBang #TheLibertine #PedrosRevolver #CitrusSaveur

I sometimes get a little 'thrill' from realizing that I have the same birthday as several famous people, and enough other people get that thrill from seeing their birthday-cohort (both the currently-famous & the probably-not-yet famous) that I figure it's worth doing 'one of these entries for every birthday' ...

Today's Birthday-Cohort

Astrologically, their sign is Leo (on the cusp of Virgo) ... no matter WHICH stars they were born under: Rachel Sarah Bilson, Regis Philbin, Monty Hall, (Sir Thomas) Sean Connery, Gene Simmons (a rock-star, I guess), Tim Burton, Billy Ray Cyrus, Elvis Costello, Kel Mitchell (in Kenan & Kel (a spinoff of All That) which went on to the movie Good Burger), Claudia Schiffer, Leonard Bernstein, Blair Underwood, Michael Cohen, chef Rachel Ray ... and lots more I don't recognize (maybe you do recognize some ... you can find the date at the birthday-cohort link)

(and--if you or someone you know about has a birthday today
--please mention them (and how you know them or -know
about them) in the comments, thanks)

My Heart of the Nation calendar says that we (Catholics) are celebrating St. Louis & St. Joseph Calasanz, with the clergy wearing White Vestments for both/either of the Optional Memorials (Green Vestments otherwise)
