#HappyBirthday to #DemiLovato @DDLovato & @therealRayWise & ... you? (the whole #August20 #BirthdayCohort) on #Baconphiles Day @MSN | @411Holidays @BirthdayMates #TheFamousPeople @YourTango @MySundayMass

... or on 'whichever of these holidays & or event-anniversaries you celebrate!'

MSN shares Over 50 Amazing Recipes for Baconphiles in a report linked through 'that word' below; but first I want to understand that word better. And I find you understand words better if you look at 'the words at their base' (then going on to look at the words at those words' bases, then the words at those words' bases, etc.-etc. ad infinitum)

Baconphiles are 'Lovers of #Bacon' (probably ... adding the suffix -|philia to the food's word).
The word “Bacon” is built on ancient words that mean Back Meat (as Bacon usually comes from the Back of the Pig ... a staple in the diet of the working-class, leading to the phrase #BringHomeTheBacon; and leading Shakespeare to use "Bacon" to insult a working-class |Rustic).
The surname either comes from 'Seller of Pork' or from ancient words that mean 'to Fight.'

I sometimes get a little 'thrill' from realizing that I have the same birthday as several famous people, and enough other people get that thrill from seeing their birthday-cohort (both the currently-famous & the probably-not-yet famous) that I figure it's worth doing 'one of these entries for every birthday' ...

Today's Birthday-Cohort

Astrologically, their sign is Leo (on the cusp of Virgo) ... no matter WHICH stars they were born under: rapper Fred Durst, Isaac Hayes, Billy Gardell, James Marsters, Demi Lovato, Amy Adams, H.P. Lovecraft, Andrew Garfield, Robert Plant, Al Roker, President Benjamin Harrison, Don King, Presidential candidate Ron Paul, Serbia/Yugoslavia's President Slobodan Milosevic, John Noble (Denethor in The Lord of the Rings ... tho I mix him up with Ray Wise, another of today's birthdays), Connie Chung, Word-of-Faith Pastor Kenneth Hagin  ... and lots more I don't recognize (maybe you do recognize some ... you can find the date at the birthday-cohort link)

(and--if you or someone you know about has a birthday today
--please mention them (and how you know them or -know
about them) in the comments, thanks)

My Heart of the Nation calendar says that we (Catholics) are celebrating with the clergy wearing White Vestments for the Memorial of St. Bernard
