The word “Misappropriation” is built on ancient words that mean Bad- or Wrong #Appropriation.
The word "Appropriation" is based on ancient words that mean "to Take/Give as if it's your Own." (the verb-form is a homonym of the adjective |Appropriate, and--while the concern here is that 'Hollywood is not an "Appropriate" target for funds that ought to be used for Public Education' & the two forms' foundations are identical--I guess we want to focus more on 'the Money-meaning' than 'the Morality-meaning.'
