This is why I sort-of "side" with atheists on a great many points—because they are actually more honest about Reality!
Oh, Christians "have faith in God," and that leads 'them*' to believe that 'God' created the Universe; but "'God' is a word"—the title of a role.
This delves a little into 'believer psychology'—a little 'confirmation bias' (he was talking about God while good things happened, therefore "God did it"); a little 'deconfirmation bias' (which The Bible encourages, with writings about 'people who deny God's credit for the miracles,' 'God's reason being above (and thus defying) man's reason, etc.)
It sort-of reminds me of 'how children think of their parents as "providers" when they're really more like "distributors higher-up in the sharing hierarchy (receiving their 'allowance' (wages/salary) from their 'parent' (boss/client), and re-distributing it)."'
i.e. God (the current 'holder of that office' ... an entity we know as The Holy Spirit—something non-Christians might call 'the mentality that Christians share') "does things on Earth" about the same way 'Ronald McDonald' takes orders & flips burgers ... that is; although the original God might've 'commanded that the processes be carried-out in a certain way,' people today follow those rules because our teachers (who were taught by teachers who were taught by teachers who were taught by ... teachers who were taught by God) taught us to.
Atheists' teachers taught them to find truth through 'science,' the process of eliminating falsehood through repeatable experiments. And they have faith in other scientists' word—not necessarily because the atheists then go & repeat the experiments that inform the scientists, but because the scientists welcome others to repeat their experiments (to 'test them,' reminding me how one of God's 'commands' (not quite a "commandment," but very closely related to them) is "Test not ᴛʜᴇ Lᴏʀᴅ ʏᴏᴜʀ Gᴏᴅ" 🙎).
Christians are discouraged from 'testing the claims of the authorities' (rightly, because many of the tests would harm them if not done for the Righteous Reasons) and so are "Wrong" in atheists' Right terms of reality.

The word “Wrong” carries traces of “to Turn, Bend”
... But words are still evolving ... You know anything about recent developments of meaning here? Comment below!

*Yes, I am a Christian; but my beliefs are reality-based ... maybe The Bible's tales were 'reality'; but I wasn't there, so they were never my "true witness" to bear.
