No, these aren't "children of Krypton" (or–if they were
–they didn't ever claim to be); they might not even be
'direct descendents' (listed in the infamous '... begat ...' passages),
but we 'children of El (a.k.a. Our Heavenly Father, a.k.a. God)
are to honor these characters as "father-figures" in our lives
I'll outline the picture above (so that a) you know what it says in case it doesn't display, and b) I can go into further listings on those words'- and names' foundations); but first ... That word (the 'built' one below)—there might be something more to that word ... something crucial that firms the foundation upon which the our lexicon stands ...
The name “EL” is built on ancient words that mean “God.”
And--since I mentioned it (so now all my searches for #el are gonna lead here)--the suffix -el is built on ancient words that mean "Appliance, Tool (see -|ule)" or "|Diminutive, Repetitive or Intensive Actions or Events."
-
The picture tells us (children of El) to:
- Walk like Enoch
- Obey like Job
- Worship like Abel
- Lead like Moses
- Pray like Daniel
- Work like Nehemiah
- Weep like Jeremiah
- Win like Paul
- Live like Jesus
You know something about that word-history that
I don't mention (and that probably isn't mentioned
below)? 'Fill us in on it'- or just tell me what you
think (or ask me about something in this- or another-
word that confuses you) with a comment below,
